A thread for those who don’t have a car but would like to get to a location by bus (mostly MoreBus).

    MORDEN BOG/WAREHAM FOREST

Take the Purbeck Breezer No. 40 bus and get off at the Sandford Hotel bus stop. Cross the road walking towards the newish houses near the roundabout, then walk into the woodland behind the houses and that’s where Wareham Forest should begin eventually leading to Morden Bog.

Take the return bus at the bus stop opposite side of the road opposite the Sandford Hotel.

    LYTCHETT FIELDS/LYTCHETT HEATH

Take the number 8 or number 9 bus (which ever way you going) and get off at the bus stop at Moorland Way.

Walk down to Sandy Lane, turn right and Lytchett Heath is not too far on your left.

For Lytchett Fields, carry on walking up the hill and turn left into Slough Lane. Walk down until you come to a metal gate, turn right into the lane and carry on walking to the end until you see a gate to your left. Go through the gate and it will take you into Lytchett Fields.

For the return bus catch the number 8 or 9 at Moorland Way.

    POOLE PARK/BAITER

For Poole Park, simply take any Poole bound bus to the Poole bus station and from there simply head towards the swimming centre. Walk past the swimming centre going straight on and the Poole Park lake should be in sight and moments later you’re there.

For Baiter Park from Poole bus station, walk towards the swimming centre but turn right crossing over the Seldown Bridge. Once you’re over the bridge, go straight on from the roundabout cutting through the housing estate and you’re there. Or, you can walk towards Poole Park lake and then turn right and walk until you come to an underpass. Go through the underpass and then follow the road for a short while until you come to a big open space.
